Coming off an encouraging win over Arizona, the Eagles (6-5-1) are fighting for their post-season lives. This week, the Eagles will look to avenge last month's loss to the defending Super Bowl Champion Giants (11-1) when they travel up the turnpike to the Meadowlands. Kickoff for Sunday's game is set for 1 p.m. The game can be seen on FOX.
Still looking for its first division win of 2008, Philadelphia will look to solve a Giants team that is arguably the best team in the NFL.
The Eagles dropped a Nov. 9 contest to the Giants as New York's offense pushed around Jim Johnson's defense to the tune of 219 rushing yards in a 36-31 Giants victory.
The Eagles snapped a three-game winless streak on Thanksgiving night with Brian Westbrook's four touchdowns leading the way in the team's 48-20 rout of the Cardinals. Donovan McNabb threw for four touchdowns while completing 27 of 39 passes. He did not turn the ball over and was sacked just once as the Eagles rolled up 437 yards of offense, including 130 by Westbrook. The defense chipped in four turnovers in the win.
The Giants have won seven straight, including Sunday's 23-7 win over Washington. With the victory, New York moved to 4-0 in the NFC East and a step closer to clinching a division title. New York won despite an off-the-field incident involving standout receiver Plaxico Burress, who is unlikely to play against Philadelphia.
LAST TIME THEY MET
Giants 36, Eagles 31 - Nov. 9, 2008
With two minutes left in the game, the Eagles faced a third-and-3 from their own 43 and were denied the first down on the next two plays to seal the win for the Giants. On fourth-and-1, Giants weakside linebacker Chase Blackburn wrapped up Brian Westbrook for no gain. Westbrook finished with only 26 rushing yards. Meanwhile, the Giants' trio of "Earth, Wind and Fire" - Brandon Jacobs, Derrick Ward and Ahmad Bradshaw - helped the Giants amass 219 rushing yards on the ground as the Giants controlled the clock for nearly 40 minutes.

| DE Justin Tuck |
The Eagles struck first after Mike Patterson intercepted an Eli Manning pass as DeSean Jackson scored from nine yards out as the Eagles utilized the Wildcat formation. The Giants rallied for the next 17 points as Manning rebounded with a pair of touchdown passes - a 17-yard strike to Plaxico Burress and a 1-yard throw to Kevin Boss.
Trailing only 20-17 at halftime thanks to a 10-yard touchdown grab by Jason Avant, the Eagles took the lead in the third quarter when Hank Baskett caught a 7-yard fade from Donovan McNabb. However, the Giants scored on each of their next three possessions - two of the them were touchdowns that came from Jacobs on the ground.
The Eagles pulled within five after McNabb connected with Kevin Curtis on a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, but were not able to close the gap.
EAGLES ON OFFENSE
Though it wasn't proficient in Week 10, the Eagles' offense did enough to beat the defending Super Bowl champs. They capitalized off of turnovers and scored 31 points, despite Donovan McNabb struggling with accuracy and Brian Westbrook nowhere to be found. But getting lucky with turnovers again with an efficient Giants offense might not be in the cards, especially in New York. So, to win, you have to figure that both McNabb and Westbrook need to be better. McNabb completed just 17 of 36 for 194 throws in Week 10, but tossed three touchdowns. Westbrook, however, a typical Giant killer, was a complete nonfactor. He ran for just 26 yards and had just 33 through the air. But Westbrook exploded for four touchdowns last week against the Cardinals. If he can carry over some momentum, the Giants might need to look out. A note to remember: in his last game at Giants Stadium, McNabb was sacked 12 times. The Eagles should probably protect him better.
EAGLES ON DEFENSE

| WR Domenik Hixon |
Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Johnson said after Nov. 9's 36-31 loss to New York that he concentrated too much on taking wide receiver Plaxico Burress out of the game, and the Eagles' run defense suffered as a result. Fortunately for the Eagles, Burress concentrated enough on likely taking himself out of this one. If that helps will remain to be seen. The Giants do boast a fantastic receiving corps even without Burress, so the Eagles' secondary will have to be in top order. But still expect Johnson to help the defensive line out by bringing a few more players into the box. Brandon Jacobs gashed the Eagles for 126 yards and two touchdowns in the last meeting, while change-of-pace back Derrick Ward added 53 more, along with 27 receiving yards. The Giants aren't explosive, but they're explosively efficient. They can score a ton of points, and if Jacobs gets rolling again, they will.
KEY MATCHUPS
Eagles LDT Mike Patterson vs. Giants RG Chris Snee
The Giants' potent running attck begins at the line of scrimmage and Snee has established himself as one of the best guards in football this year. Patterson was quite busy in the meeting earlier this season as he became the first Eagle to record a fumble recovery and an interception in the same game since Michael Lewis did it against, coincidentally, the Giants in 2002. Patterson has shown that he can hold his own against a fierce pass rush, as he notched a career-high 15 tackles against the Redskins earlier this year. But the Eagles must stop the Giants early, as they average 5.41 yards per rush on first downs this season.
Eagles ORT Jon Runyan vs. Giants LDE Justin Tuck
Tuck is tied for fifth in the NFL with 11.5 sacks this season. Against the Eagles earlier in the year, Tuck was held without a sack. In fact, the Eagles surrendered no sacks in the first meeting this season and the Giants are fourth in the league with 36. The Giants were able to amass 31 points and 300 total yards of offense. If the Eagles want to have similar results, it starts with the offensive line and Runyan will need to keep Tuck in check.
GIANTS PLAYERS TO WATCH
WR Domenik Hixon
With Plaxico Burress likely to be sidelined, Hixon becomes the Giants' big-play threat at receiver. Hixon has 26 catches for 373 yards and one score, but he leads the team with an average of 14.3 yards per reception. Hixon was held without a catch in the first meeting, but on Sunday against the Redskins with Burress out - Hixon had five catches for 71 yards. Quarterback Eli Manning tried to hit him on two deep passes that were incomplete.
CB Corey Webster
According to NFL.com, Webster has 36 tackles and a team-high three interceptions and 21 pass deflections. He also has one forced fumble and one fumble recovery and a sack. The Eagles have targeted him in the past and if Donovan McNabb can get off to the start he had against Arizona - the Eagles were up 14-0 before his first incompletion - picking apart Webster could be a part of that.
